Apply to the Master in Finance

The application form provides the Admissions Committee with fundamental information when it comes to evaluating candidates. It is therefore essential that this provide detailed information on relevant academic and professional achievements, together with concerns, aspirations and motivations that could support your application. For either online or in writing applications, we will require official academic transcripts of university studies demonstrating degree awarded, which must be translated into English or Spanish, although the application must be filled in the English language. A completed application to IE's Master in Telecom & Digital Business program consists of:

• Completed application form in English.
• 3 Application Essays (250 - 500 words each).
• A one-page curriculum vitae/ resume.
• 2 letters of recommendation.
• Official university transcripts (certified translation into English or Spanish).
• Official score/results from the GMAT or IE Admissions Test.
• Official English language certificate (where applicable).
• Copies of any supporting documents that you feel may contribute to your application (as applicable).
• Application fee, €120.
• Copy of current passport or Spanish ID card
• 1 passport-size photo.

IE Business School will verify application information as needed and reserves the right to deny candidates admission at any point of the application process if a discrepancy between the self-reported information and information provided through verification is noted.

Supporting Documentation

Aside from the application form supporting documentation which supports and compliments your candidature. This documentation consists of:

• 3 Application essays (250 - 500 words each).
• A one-page Curriculum Vitae / Resume.
• 2 Letters of recommendation.
• Official university transcripts (Certified translation into English or Spanish.)
• Official results of the GMAT or IE Admissions Test [+]

• All candidates must submit results of either the GMAT or IE Admissions Test regardless of their previous experience or educational background.

  GMATThese exams are designed to measure verbal and analytical skills as well as writing skills. Scores should be sent by the test administrator directly to IE. GMAT scores are valid for five years.

  The GMAT reporting code for IE is 6XT-ZH-98.

  You must have the results of one of these exams prior to submitting your application.

  IE admissions test

  This test is comprised of sections that measure analytical, logical, verbal and numerical capacities. Given that the test is designed to test capacities and not knowledge of specific fields, it does not require special preparation. The test also includes a personality test designed to compile a psychological profile of each candidate. Candidates are permitted to use a calculator for the section that tests numerical skills.

  This test will be held in English on specific dates. Please contact the Admissions Department for details or register at www.ie.edu/events.

  Candidates must present an application prior to or on the day of the IE test.

  It is important that the application form and supporting documents be submitted prior to taking the Admissions Test.

• Official English language certificate

• Students whose native language is not English will be required to present a certificate certifying that they will be able to follow a course conducted in English. For more details please consult the PDF.

  The following qualifications will be accepted as proof of an acceptable level of English and may be presented either at the beginning of or during the course.

  • TOEFL (IE reporting code: 0707)
  • IELTS
  • TOIEC
  • Cambridge Advanced Certificate
  • A pass certificate for level five English from La Escuela Oficial de Idiomas.

  This qualification must have been obtained less than 4 years before starting the Master's program.

  An English language certificate is not required if one of the following criteria is met:

  • University studies fully completed in English
  • Period of two years or more working within an English speaking country

  Students should present originals or certified copies of all supporting documents.

Application Deadlines

It is extremely important that you manage the timing of your application carefully and submit a complete application.

IE Business School operates on a ROLLING ADMISSIONS PROCESS. As such, there is NO EXPLICIT DEADLINE for applications for a particular intake.

However, given the limited number of places in the program and the diverse student body, we recommend that you initiate the application process as far in advance as possible, roughly one year in advance of the desired program intake. This is especially important if you plan on applying for a scholarship as only accepted students may apply for a scholarship.

Personal Interview

Once the application form has been assessed, candidates may be called to interview, which may be done, on campus, at an admissions event, or by phone should you be unable to see us in person. It is recommended the interview be conducted in person as it is an integral part of the admissions process.

The interview examines the data provided in the application in greater detail and determines whether the candidate's profile will stand him or her in good stead for the content and demands of the program.

The Admissions Committee's Decision

Following the interview, each application will be subject to a final review by the Admissions Committee, evaluating all aspects of each candidate as a whole.

Candidates will be notified of the Committee's decision after this final review.

Admission is valid for two years and is granted to candidates on the basis that IE Business School considers that they have the right profile to achieve success in the program.

Admission does not automatically guarantee a place within the next intake, however to secure a place within a specific intake, the place reservation must be made. Please refer the Place Reservation section within Payment Information for more detail.
